2. Privacy policy

Who is responsible for processing your personal data?

Dignity Europe, S.L., identified above, is the controller of personal data processed in connection with this website and its business communications. For privacy enquiries or to exercise your rights, email info@dignity-eu.com or write to our postal address above.

This policy explains how we handle personal data under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and the guarantee of digital rights.

Website and email enquiries

When you contact us, we process the information you provide, such as your name, professional contact details, company and the contents of your message. When relevant to your request, this may also include quotation, order, delivery and billing information.

Technical information generated when visiting the website may include your IP address, browser and operating system, requested pages and access times. Such information may be personal data; it is not necessarily anonymous. Information is anonymous only when individuals can no longer be identified.

We process information for the following purposes:

  • Answering enquiries, requests and questions about our products and services.
  • Preparing quotations and managing requested orders, deliveries, after-sales assistance and warranties.
  • Sending communications relating to your request or an existing business relationship.
  • Sending electronic marketing where you have consented or where another lawful basis permitted by applicable electronic communications law applies.
  • Maintaining website security and operation, and analysing and improving our website, products and services, subject to any consent required for non-essential tracking.
  • Meeting applicable legal obligations and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.

What are the legal bases for processing?

Depending on the purpose, we rely on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract or performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); compliance with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)); our legitimate interests in responding to professional enquiries, maintaining security and protecting our rights, subject to your interests and rights (Article 6(1)(f)); or your consent where required (Article 6(1)(a)).

Any mandatory information requested in a form will be indicated there. Without information necessary to respond to your request or fulfil a contract, we may be unable to provide the requested service. Sending an enquiry does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive unrelated marketing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Commercial communications

If you subscribe or otherwise lawfully receive our marketing communications, we use your contact details to send information about our products and services. You can unsubscribe at any time using the option provided in a communication or by emailing info@dignity-eu.com. Withdrawing from marketing does not prevent necessary communications about an enquiry, order or service.

Social media contacts

If you contact or interact with us through our social media profiles, we process the information you share to respond to your enquiries, manage requests and interact with our professional community. The applicable legal basis depends on the interaction, including steps taken at your request, consent where required, or our legitimate interest in managing professional communications.

The platforms also process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Please review the policies of the services you use, including Instagram, LinkedIn and Google and YouTube. Profile visibility and platform settings are managed through the relevant platform.

Information about other people and minors

Where you provide another person’s personal data, you must have a lawful basis for doing so and give that person the relevant information about its use. This does not remove our responsibilities as controller.

Our website and commercial services are intended for an adult professional audience. Please do not submit personal information about children. If you believe that a child has provided personal data to us, contact us so that we can assess the situation and take appropriate action.

Who may receive your data?

Where necessary for the relevant purpose, data may be accessed by service providers supporting our operations, such as website hosting and IT support providers, communications providers, professional advisers, transport companies and payment service providers where applicable. Providers acting on our behalf are subject to the applicable data processing obligations. Information may also be disclosed to public authorities or other recipients where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.

If a service involves processing outside the European Economic Area, the applicable GDPR transfer requirements must be met, for example through an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. For information about recipients or any transfers relevant to your data, contact info@dignity-eu.com. External services linked or embedded on this website may also process information under their own privacy policies.

How long do we keep your data?

We retain enquiry information for as long as necessary to deal with the request and any resulting relationship. Contract, order and billing records are retained for the periods required by applicable tax, accounting and other legal obligations, and where necessary to handle warranties or legal claims. Marketing information is retained until you withdraw consent or object, or until the relevant purpose ends; limited suppression information may be retained to respect your choice. Technical records are retained for as long as necessary for their operational and security purposes.

When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised, subject to any applicable requirement to retain or restrict access to records. Please notify us of changes to information that we need to keep accurate.

Your data protection rights

Subject to the conditions established by applicable law, you may:

  • Obtain confirmation of whether we process your data and access it.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request erasure of your personal data.
  • Request restriction of processing.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and object at any time to direct marketing.
  • Request portability where processing is automated and based on consent or a contract.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Exercise rights concerning solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, where applicable.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or another competent supervisory authority.

Send your request to info@dignity-eu.com or to Dignity Europe, S.L., at the postal address in section 1. Describe the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information to identify the relevant records. If we have reasonable doubts about your identity, we may request additional information necessary to verify it; an identity document is not required automatically for every request.

We respond without undue delay and normally within one month of receiving a request. Where necessary because of complexity or the number of requests, this may be extended by a further two months. We will notify you of the extension and its reasons within the initial month.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures taking account of the nature of the data and the risks of processing. No website or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Do not send sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your enquiry.

3. Terms of use

Users and use of the website

Access to and use of dignity-eu.com are subject to these terms and applicable law. Any specific contractual terms for a product or service also apply where relevant. Accessing the website does not itself create a purchase contract or constitute consent to optional personal data processing.

You are responsible for using the website lawfully and for providing accurate and lawful information when requested. If you receive account credentials, keep them confidential and use them diligently. You must not use the website to carry out unlawful activities; distribute discriminatory, unlawful or rights-infringing material; damage our systems or those of third parties; introduce malware; or attempt to access accounts, messages or information without authorisation.

Where participation tools are available, we may remove unlawful or inappropriate contributions and restrict access in response to misuse, subject to applicable law. Responsibility for user-generated material is determined by the applicable legal framework.

Intellectual and industrial property

The website and its content, including texts, images, logos, designs, audiovisual material and software, are protected by intellectual and industrial property rights belonging to Dignity Europe, S.L., or their respective owners or licensors. All rights are reserved except as permitted by law or expressly authorised.

You may view and make copies for lawful personal or internal reference use, without removing ownership notices. Reproduction, distribution, public communication or commercial exploitation beyond permitted use requires the relevant rights holder’s authorisation. You must not remove or circumvent protection or security mechanisms.

IP addresses and technical records

Servers may record IP addresses and technical access information for operation, security and troubleshooting. Where these records identify or can identify an individual, they are handled as personal data under the privacy policy above. Analytics and similar technologies are subject to the requirements described in section 4.

Availability and liability

We take reasonable care over the website’s content and operation but cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or free from harmful components. Product information is provided for general reference; specifications and contractual commitments should be confirmed in the relevant quotation or agreement.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from misuse of the website or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability or mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

External links

The website may link to third-party websites and services. Their content, operation and privacy practices are governed by their own terms. A link does not itself imply approval, association or responsibility for the linked material. Any liability arising from links remains subject to applicable law.

Changes and enforcement

We may update the website, its content and these terms. Updated terms will be published here with a revised date. We may take lawful steps to prevent misuse and enforce our rights. Changes do not override mandatory rights or retroactively alter agreed contractual commitments.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to mandatory rules that may apply. Where legally permitted, disputes fall within the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Valencia, Spain. Any mandatory consumer or other jurisdictional rights remain unaffected.

Cookies may be session-based, expiring when a browsing session ends, or persistent, lasting for a specified period or until deleted. They may be first-party or third-party. Depending on the service used, relevant categories can include strictly necessary cookies, preference cookies, analytics cookies and advertising or tracking cookies. This description of categories does not mean that every category is used on this website.
